Acreages Sold In Mabel Lake South
Just updated my page for Mabel Lake South which the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board defines as the area west of Silver Hills and the Park Range, north and east of the Shuswap River and including the southern half of Mabel Lake. So - Outside the Village of Lumby, BC.
Always with statistics the spin is in the perspective. I could tell you that real estate is slow there... with only 2 properties ( both acreages without houses) reported sold between Jan. 1 and July 31, 2012. On the OTHER HAND, I could also tell you that Sales for 2012 already equal those made in the entire of 2011! Both are true.
With 19 active properties for sale, and only 2 sales in 7 months - we can state that it is a buyers market - because at current demand, it would take about 5 years for all of these properties to be consumed at the current demand. Add to that that the 2 sales this year were discounted an average of 30% and it is pretty clear that if you are looking for acreage - this is a neighbourhood to consider as a buyer.
