The Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board defines the Salmon Valley Falkland neighbourhood as the area along the Salmon River and Highway 97 from the north end of Indian Reserve #1 including Falkland. Falkland is a small rural area about 20 minutes drive from Vernon BC. It has some amenities - restaurants, gas stations and a pub, but you will likely do most of your shopping, banking, and appointments at Doctors, Dentists etc in either Vernon or Armstrong. There are some small lot older homes in the village, and some great small acreage new homes in this neighbourhood. Also there are farms and agricultural opportunities here. There is an elementary school in Falkland, but Secondary students are bussed to school. Salmon Valley offers some peaceful rural living opportunities. Salmon River Road travels from Highway 97 and winds through the community of Silver Creek up to Salmon Arm. |
