Schools - The area is part of the North Okanagan Shuswap School District and is served by 4 public schools – Highland Park and Armstrong Elementary, Len Wood Middle School and Pleasant Valley Secondary – as well as North Okanagan Junior Academy, a private school. In addition, there is a Gateway Community Learning Centre Downtown.
Post secondary education is available in nearby Vernon at Okanagan College, and within a one hour drive at the University of British Columbia – Okanagan in Kelowna.
Amenities - As a resident of Armstrong /Spallumcheen, you’ll have easy access to all the amenities of present day life. Doctors, Dentists, Optometrists, Physiotherapists, Accountants, Lawyers, Insurance agents, Restaurants, Bars, Grocery Stores, Gyms, Financial services, Library and Hardware stores are all represented in Downtown Armstrong. You will have to go to Vernon for Hospital services, although from Monday to Friday you can have x-rays, blood work and other diagnostic services done at the healthcare centre.

Local Attractions / Leisure Activities - Armstrong is best known for its long history and world renown Cheese, and the Annual Interior Provincial Exhibition & Stampede which showcases Agriculture and crafts and skills from days gone by along with everything you’d expect from a country fair!
